Who I am

I am Valentina Pandolfi and I am a professional translator.

My passion for languages dates back to high school, when I decided to enroll at the Mamiani Institute of Foreign Languages, in my hometown Pesaro. In those years, thanks to many school experiences abroad, I got interested in travelling and in foreign cultures. For this reason,  after my diploma, I chose the course of study of Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Bologna, focusing on English and Spanish. Just before graduation, I started to attend seminars on literary translation, organised by the university. In a short time, I have become so enthusiastic about translation that I decided to enroll on the Master Course in Translation of Literature and Essays at the University of Pisa, to work as a professional translator. I finished my studies by spending six months at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where I did research to prepare my final thesis: a translation of short stories from Spanish into Italian.

Today, I work with English and Spanish and, beside literary translation, I also deal with technical texts. I have already worked with commercial, technical and scientific articles in the fields of medicine chemistry and psychology and also with texts on contemporary art.

This experience allow me reach an excellent level in many fields, because I was able to specialize myself in technical language. This is the reason why I can work with a wide range of customers from any kind of sector.

I guarantee reliability, attention to detail and punctuality.

See you!
